Here in Polk County, we discovered a problem: homebound folks who were having food delivered to them were giving the food meant for them to their pets and continuing to go hungry themselves. To address this need, SPCA Florida has partnered with Meals on Wheels and YouThrive Florida to bring pet food along with food for our homebound community members so that no person or animal has to go hungry in their home.

 

Our staff and volunteers pack food twice a month and then deliver to Meals on Wheels and YouThrive, so our amazing community partners can then bring folks food for themselves and their four-legged family members.
